ADVANTAGES
Short Bench Concept Integrated wet and dry dispersion modes Interactive graphical software Shape Analysis using a video camera

With over 30 years of design expertise in Laser Particle Size Analyzers, CILAS offers a wide range of products designed with your specific application in mind. Choose the model that best covers your range of particles. Regardless of which model you select, rest assured that all of our accessories and options are available. Even our most cost-effective model supports our autosampler, video accessory and short optical bench.

All CILAS particle size analyzers offer our unique integrated wet and dry dispersion mode design. This allows the operator to switch between wet and dry modes through our software.

High-resolution detectors are used for the sampling of the diffraction pattern and provide you exact and reproducible results through Fraunhofer and Mie algorithms. This guaranties you full compliance with the ISO 13320 standard.

The Short Bench Concept is a unique feature developed by CILAS. Our patented design has all the optical components rigidly aligned on a short cast iron baseplate. Permanently aligned optics guarantee the system is aligned throughout the entire measurement, providing more reliable particle size distribution data.
2 in 1 integrated wet and dry dispersion modes. CILAS unique design provides very fast measurements in wet or dry mode. The system can be configured to measure in wet or dry mode with just the click of a mouse. Only CILAS lets you switch modes without swapping hardware.
Our intuitive software allows you to drive the instrument with just the click of the mouse on the interactive graphic screen. Simply click on a picture of the component you want to turn on or off and the software makes the change for you. No need to search through menus to find the feature you need.
Perform particle shape and size analysis with our integrated video camera. CILAS has the only Laser Particle Size Analyzer which can show you the shape of your particles while performing particle size distribution analysis.

The Ecosizer
Principle of Measurement
With an extremely compact cast iron optical bench, the CILAS EcoSizer is able to run powder or emulsion size analysis. from 0.5 up to 400 µm, within a few seconds. The 830 nm laser diode, with a very long lifetime, lights the sample. A photodiode matrix detector acquires the diffraction pattern.
Non contractual Document - 4/2005
All the information and specifications of the particle size analyzers are subject ot change without notice by CILAS.

The 1064 is a mid-range instrument offering a wider range of particle size measurements. With two lasers and CILAS multi-wavelength optical architecture, this instrument gives you a measurement range from 0.04 to 500 µm in wet or dry mode.
Short Bench Concept Integrated wet and dry dispersion modes Interactive graphical software

Dual wavelength architecture
The 1064 uses two lasers in order to cover a wider range of particle sizes. CILAS unique design places the second laser at a 45 degree angle to extend the range without increasing the size of the instrument.
Permanently aligned optical system
All optical components are fixed on a cast iron baseplate. There is no need to realign the system or change the lens during or between acquisitions as done in competitive systems. Our permanently aligned optics guarantees extremely accurate and reproducible particle size measurements.
right choice for laboratory and research applications
This mid-range instrument is focused on laboratory and industrial applications where very small to medium size particle analysis is required.
Integrated dispersion systems with fast change from wet to dry mode
There is no need to swap hardware when switching from wet to dry mode. The change can be made in software with just the click of a mouse.
Compliant with ISO 13320 and 21 CFR Part 11
All CILAS systems comply with the ISO 13320 standard for particle size analyzers and with 21 CFR-Part 11 for pharmaceutical applications.
