Overview
Product Overview
ACTIVA-S,
built on A Platform for the Future, maintains the Strengths of HORIBA
Jobin Yvon ICP Spectrometers while incorporating advanced CCD
technology, thus offering Simplicity in a high performance Spectrometer: - High
Scientific Spectroscopy quality CCD, adapted to the Superior Total
Plasma View, and offering the complete Spectral range of 160 – 800 nm.
- The criteria of Stability, Selectivity and Superior dynamic range, associated to Simplicity, make the difference.
- Optimum Selectivity is achieved thanks to the proprietary S3-base database.
- An
automatic Superior Semi-quantitative analysis of all elements is
performed from full Spectrum acquisition (IMAGE) and via the Total View
mode for concentration calculation, data reporting and data
reprocessing.
- Simplicity of operations with automatic
optimizations helps the user to operate the instrument at its best and
achieve excellent analytical results.
|
| Product Features
The
unique HORIBA Jobin Yvon features of low noise CCD, holographic
gratings, constant resolution across the full spectrum, superior
vertical torch-based Total Plasma View, unique sheath gas device and
low argon consumption expand the range of applications in correlation
with the large analytical benefits: - Few spectral
interference, few matrix effects, few memory effects allowing complex
matrix, high dissolved solids or organic sample analysis
- Excellent limits of quantification thanks to simultaneous measurement of background
- Perfect reproducibility, facilitating multi-user operation
- Unrivalled performance for alkaline elements
- High practical dynamic range of 107 with a linear response range of 5 decades minimum, for each line
The
ACTIVA-S offers the practical use of ICP-AES analysis by first time
operators or sophisticated users, through easy operation steps, for all
types of applications. |

Overview
Product Overview
ACTIVA-M,
a bronze award winner for best new product at Pittcon 2007 as Master in
multi-line analysis by ICP-AES, combines superb instrumental
performance with innovative and interactive assistance software tools:
- IMAGE
(full spectrum acquisition) & Total View mode offer a superior
semi-quantitative analysis with re-processing capabilities (as for
ACTIVA-S)
- The new proprietary ICP-based Database,
the S3-base (Single-element Spectra, Spectroscopic data) features not
only wavelengths but also ionization level, line width, limit of
detection, dynamic range of each line, thus providing data that allows
the combination of single-ele¬ment spectra to mimic real-life samples
- M.A.S.T.E.R.
(Multi-line Analysis, Selection Tool for Enhanced Reliability) performs
a selection of several appropriate lines according to the concentration
range of each element and the matrix influence
- CALSTAT helps for the evaluation of the calibration procedure through statistics on various parameters
- S.O.S.
(Statistical Outlier Survey) evaluates the line concentration results
through ANOVA data processing to detect outliers and to provide a
single reliable result per element
The
Total Multi-line Concept overcomes the challenge of multi-line
selection, copes with unexpected spectral interference and consequently
improves the reliability of the results. |
